Content Marketing for MLM

T happens every time! When I create a piece of content via article or video and distribute it on the web, it drives traffic to my website. How do I know this? Because I watch my analytics as I submit content and the graph bar goes up after publishing. I also look at where the traffic is coming from so I know how people are finding my information. I can see how long they stay on my pages and which pages are read the most. This guides me to write specifically for my market niche.

If you are an online marketer and you are utilizing this method to promote your network marketing business, you must have a content strategy. Here’s how the strategy works:

1) Decide what the pain points of your customers are. They may be related to your product (back pain, fatigue, stress) or they may be related to your prospects (lack of leads, skills, direction). Which niche are you going to respond to? What solutions are you going to offer? How are you going to help improve the lives of those who are seeking information about the things you know something about?

2) create compelling, interesting and consistent messaging that provides an answer to their question, “How can I feel better?” or “How can I meet my goals?” This strategy should have you writing articles, books, e-books or creating videos that regularly teach about the various aspects of your niche. Let’s say your niche is network marketing. You can write about numerous topics related to the industry. For example, you can write about analyzing pay plans, how to position yourself as a leader, how to get over telephone fear, how to get more leads, etc.

3) Tell your customer what to do next. They are looking for something special. If you can provide it for free or sell them something to answer their prayers, you guide them to their next step. It could be “Fill out this form!”; “Grab your free report now!”; “Order my CD here.”; “Place your order now!”

Before you enter into a social marketing strategy, it’s imperative that you have a content marketing strategy first. Especially if you are working a mom business, you want to make sure you aren’t just promoting your products and services and trying to get your customers to the company replicated website. People want to work with and buy from people they trust. You must establish rapport by giving them something they want and or need through your content and then maybe – just maybe – they will buy your product or service.

Middle-Aged Face book Users & Communication Styles

I have recently become more active on Face book, reconnected with some dear old friends and made connections with new ones. My friends’ ages range from 18-65 and it is striking to me how different the two generations communicate. Like me, most of my friends are middle-aged which puts us smack in the middle of two diametrically opposed styles of communicating.

Our parents were of the generation I call the “Secret-Keepers”. Everything was rosy in Family-vile on the outside but most families, if not all, had at least one White Elephant in the den. Some things should just be discussed openly for the mental health of all family members:

“Mom, why is there an ax-murderer behind the TV?” “SHHHH! You’ll disturb your father. He’s reading the paper”.

Of course, this is an extreme example but you get my point.

Our children, on the other hand, are “Super-Sharers”. They will tell anybody everything that happens in their lives, your life, the neighbor’s lives, and so on. Don’t try pulling what our parents did with the White Elephant ruse….it will be all over Face book and countless text messages before you can say ” We’re ruined. Cancel the club membership”.

So here we middle-agers are in the midst of a hyper-communicative world with the imprint of the “Secret-Keepers” on our brains. Every time I post something on my page, I spend at least five minutes rethinking that commitment: Am I offending anyone? Is my post bland enough to not have anything seem mean or ill-spirited? Have I been sufficiently rosy and happy?

Whereas my child has no problem firing off “I hate my mother! She drank all the vodka and ate pop tarts for dinner! I want to be emancipated!” Definitely things I would not normally share in polite conversation.

I attempt to be true to myself on my page without over-censorship but still maintain a smidgen of decorum. I want my friends to be entertained and engage in delightful and often silly exchanges. I cannot imagine anyone, even my mother, would want to see 5,000 photos of my children (“Oh look! He changed facial expressions. Get the camera!”). And don’t even get me started on the whole Farmville evil dynasty. Whatever social skills these people had before they started playing have been totally depleted.

Collaboration within the Nigerian Animation Industry

The Nigerian animation and visual effects industry is a young and new one. There are many people in it with lots of drive and energy. But one of the factors affecting it has been that of the establishment of proper studios and the current absence of collaborative projects between artists and technicians in the field.

Finance is a key factor, especially in Nigeria. In some countries grants and other support systems are available to support those in the creative industries. Of course the creative industries had to fight to get that. But their governments have realized that the creative industries can be a huge earner. The creative economy has been identified by the UN as one of the economies that will benefit developing countries immensely if harnessed just as it did for established economies. Unfortunately most African governments, including Nigeria’s haven’t quite realized the potential.

Most people in our fledgling animation industry are young graduates with little financial backing and no large industry to take them up and pay them a decent salary. They have to make it up as they go along. It’s not like our main established industries (law, engineering, telecoms, banking) where there are clearer entrance routes and more money to be made. We are in the pioneering phase right now. Passion can only get you so far when you have no cash (maybe I’m getting to old!)

To now dedicate your time and effort to an animation project with people just for the sake of it is hard. Don’t get me wrong, I think that is precisely what creates the best work. It’s just tough to do from a logical day to day stand point where bills have to be paid.

Combining Creativity with Technical Skill to Take Photographs That Look Amazing

Essentially, photography is a form of art, and just like any other type of art, creativity plays an enormous role in it. In this case, the creativity of a photographer is the vision that he or she has of the picture that they intend to produce. That vision is what is vital when you take photographs because it is what’s going to let you know what to photograph, when to photograph it, and how to do so

Of course, in order to make your creative vision a reality you’re going to need the technical skills to back it up. All the creativity in the world would amount to nothing if you weren’t able to translate your vision into a photograph and in order to do so you’re going to need to know how to control the lighting, camera settings, and affects so that you can achieve your goals.

On occasion, you could even touch up photographs afterwards in the post processing stage so that they resemble your vision more closely. Even here, your creativity is going to be the guiding force behind the changes that you put into motion. Never lose sight of what you intend to achieve, and never settle for anything less than perfection.

Initially, you may find it hard to combine creativity with whatever few technical skills you have when you take photographs. As time goes by however, and you gain experience, you’re going to find that it comes a lot easier until eventually you’ll be doing it practically by instinct alone. When you reach that point you’re going to officially be an expert photographer!
