There is no doubt that he prefers to star in dramas over comedies however. At this point, it seems that Spacey only chooses roles that he is happy doing, and does not seem to be working for the money.

The Usual Suspects is the first and arguably best movie on this list. This is certainly one of the movies that Spacey will be remembered for most; it is an incredible role in an incredible film.

Another fantastic movie that he has starred in is American Beauty. This movie is ranked as the number 40 best film of all time according to imdb.com and not surprisingly, won the Academy Award for Best Picture of the Year.

Outbreak is another film that definitely makes the cut for me. I do not know why I am attracted to movies about terrible things like this, but apparently I am not the only one. This film did very well at the box office, and I’m not surprised.

Another movie that definitely makes the cut is L.A. Confidential. This is film noir at its finest. If you are not familiar with the genre, this is a good place to get started. This movie also stars Kim Besieger, Russell Crowe and Guy Pearce.

Finally, one film of his that I thoroughly enjoyed was K-PAX. In this movie, Kevin Spacey plays a man who claims he is an alien from a planet called K-PAX. Both the characters in the film and we, as an audience, are unsure whether or not this claim is true.

This article will focus on the career and movies of Jeff Bridges. Bridges has been acting for over 40 years and has quietly established himself as one of the better actors in the industry. If you ever read magazine interviews with actors and actresses, anyone who has worked with Bridges only has great things to say. It comes as no surprise that such a great actor gets to star in great movies.

Here are some of the better movies to come out that have starred Jeff Bridges.

One movie of Bridges that I have to include is White Squall. Maybe I am impartial because I love stories taking place at sea, but I thought this was an excellent film. This movie was directed by the great Ridley Scott.

Arlington Road is another film that I certainly will discuss. This movie is not for the faint of heart, and is an incredibly gripping film. While Jeff Bridges is great in this film, the true star of this movie is his neighbor, Tim Robbins.

Another movie that I would definitely include on this list is torn. This is one of the founding fathers of both science fiction and special effects driven movies, and I cannot wait to see what Torn 2 will look like in 3D. The sequel will also star Bridges.

Of all the movies that Bridges has starred in, in no movie was his performance as impressive as in Crazy Heart. If you put any other actor in this film, it probably would have been overlooked; Bridges managed to make this movie into his personal masterpiece, culminating in an Academy Award.

To not put The Big Lebo ski on this list would be a shame. This film has become such a cult classic that bowling leagues across the country have sprouted up in its honor. This is definitely one of the better comedies of the nineties.

These are just my personal favorite Jeff Bridges movies, but there are definitely some other great ones as well.

There is little debate that Ron Howard is an incredibly talented director. Over the years, he has risen through the ranks of the great directors, and at this point in time, has his pick of the litter when it comes to films. If Ron Howard is attached to a project, chances are, it is going to be something that is definitely worth seeing.

Let’s go through and take a look at some of my personal favorite Ron Howard directed movies.

The first movie that I will put on this list is Frost/Nixon. This movie is somewhat of a recap of the interview that took place between David Frost, a British TV personality, and the ex-president Richard Nixon. Frank Lamella was spectacular in this movie.

Another movie that I would include on this is list is Cinderella Man. This was Ron Howard and Brian Grazer collaboration, which at this point in time, is synonymous with success. Russell Crowe and Rene Zelwegger star in this amazing boxing movie.

Going back to 1995, one of Ron Howard’s best films was Apollo 13. This is one of my favorite movies ever about space, and has an all star cast consisting of Tom Hanks, Kevin Bacon, Bill Paxton and Gary Sense.

It goes without saying that either Angels and Demons or The Ad Vinci Code has to be included on this list. I personally enjoyed The Ad Vinci Code, but I also might be biased, as I have never read the book of the former.

Finally, A Beautiful Mind is definitely one of the best, if not the best, movie he has ever directed. This film features Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly at their best, in a story about an incredibly gifted, yet haunted, mathematician.

As it stands, this is my Ron Howard all-time favorite list. His new film, The Dilemma, looks great as well.
